BEGINNER FULL BODY WORKOUT ROUTINE

Firstly, welcome to the new year. I can bet a lot of you have fitness goals set out for the new year and i am here to help you achieve them! This is the second part of the series and this one is for my kings out there.

I get a lot of questions on how to get started with your workouts and what are the right exercises to do as a beginner. I have put together a simple, quick and efficient routine to point you in the right direction as a beginner.

The exercises here are all bodyweight and require no equipment at all. This workout is for absolute beginners and those with little to no experience. This workout consists of both compound exercises and a little cardio work which is perfect to start with irrespective of your goals and it will help develop that toned body you desire. Workout summary

Time: 30–45 minutes

Level: Beginner

Frequency: 2x per week

Gender: male

Equipment: jump rope

WARMUP

perform whatever type of stretching you feel comfortable with for at least one minute.

KNEE PUSHUPS

3 sets of 8 repetitions

perform with full range of motion. All the way to the top and back to the bottom.

BENCH DIPS

3 sets of 12 repetitions

full range of motion. Squeeze at the top of the movement

SUPERMAN

3 sets of 10 repetitions

Perform slow and controlled

SQUATS

3 sets of 10 repetitions

squat as low as you can without raising your heels then repeat. You will get better over time.

GLUTE BRIDGES

3 sets of 10 repetitions

squeeze and hold at the top of the movement.

SIT-UPS

20 seconds — 2 rounds

focus on your form and not repetitions. Perform steady and controlled.

PLANK

20 seconds — 2 rounds

brace your core and your glutes.

HIGH KNEES

30 seconds —2 rounds

go at your own pace

BURPEES

20 seconds — 2 rounds

perform at your own pace.

Summary

It’s a new year, let’s smash those goals together. Now you have an effective workout routine which can be done anywhere so you have no excuses.
