Loosing fat is ridiculously easy. Hear me out, fat loss is not that complicated once you know the basic “caloric deficit”. That’s basically it. Caloric deficit entails burning more than you eat and there are two ways you can create this deficit;

  • Eating less
  • Exercising more

It all comes down to you but doing both will make fat loss faster.

Throughout the course of today’s story, my main focus will be on how to effectively use the caloric deficit method to aid fat loss.

Caloric deficit, caloric deficit, that’s all you need to be doing throughout your entire fat loss journey. Making this deficit means your calorie intake has to be reduced but not necessarily eating all vegetables. If you are counting calories, you can eat your regular foods and still loose weight, again, as long as you stay in that deficit. But why going on a diet and changing your foods helps is due to the fact that what people consider as “regular” foods these days does not keep you full for long which leaves a little bit of hunger causing you to eat more thereby triggering weight gain.

HOW TO GO INTO A CALORIC DEFICIT?

As above stated, there are two common ways to go into a deficit. Let’s begin with the first;

  • Eating less

When i say eating less, I don’t mean starving yourself. It just means you should reduce your daily food intake. How to do it without counting calories? Let’s say you eat about 4 times daily, you can start be reducing it to 3 times daily or having two meals and eating fruits as your last meal of the day, it all boils down to you. But, you just have to start eating a little less than usual. Another way to make the deficit and my personal favorite is intermittent fasting. I personally use this whenever I’m on a cut or trying to loose some pounds and it works every time. There are multiple ways to do intermittent fasting but the one i strongly recommend is the warriors diet. Here, you’ll be allowed to eat once a day, you can eat whatever you want but try not to go overboard. I’d advice you stick to whole foods instead if snacks, that’ll keep you fuller for long. You can choose to eat anytime of the day but preferably in the afternoon. This way, you won’t have to worry about tracking calories so much because you’ll definitely burn more than what you ate for that day. I managed to drop 12 pounds just by doing this and that’s how i kickstarted my fat loss journey. Is this healthy? Yes, it absolutely is. It’s a great way to loose weight and boost your metabolism slightly as long as you are following the rules. If you have a medical condition or eating disorder, I recommend you check in with your doctor first but otherwise, it is great for your body.

  • Exercising more

This basically means staying more active. If you’re a beginner and have no training experience, to avoid injuries, I will advice you to take it slow. Take more steps every day, try to avoid the sedentary lifestyle and just move! That’s a great start. Overtime, when you get comfortable with staying active, you can add some HIIT to your daily routine to boost fat loss even more. It’s all about progress, your body will get used to training so you have to mix it up a bit. Start weight training, yoga, boxing, etc. It should be fun and something you enjoy, that causes longevity thereby making you loose fat and keeping the fat off.

These are the basics of fat loss. Like i said, it’s not complicated at all. Just eat less and move more.

Summary

Combining the above listed methods, fat loss will be effortless! It is not that complicated and should not be. Again, eat whole foods, that will keep you full for the rest of the day which will reduce your cravings because you will already be full. Get more rest at night as stress is not what you will need for weight loss. Stay hydrated and move.
